Beach Keepers

Monthly beach cleanups hosted by ECOSLO the first Saturday morning of each month, and a supplies check-out program for groups. Made possible by the California Coastal Commission and local business sponsors.

Our next cleanup will be part of Creeks to Coast Cleanup on Saturday, September 21 from 9am-Noon. Join us at one of nearly 50 cleanup sites throughout SLO County – from the Creeks to the Coast!

There are multiple ways you can be a part of ECOSLO’s Beach Keepers program:

  • Join ECOSLO for monthly Beach Cleanups the first Saturday of every month, from 9am-11am. We rotate to 10 various locations throughout SLO County. Note: Rain cancels the cleanup.
  • Check out ECOSLO’s cleanup supplies and host your own group cleanup on your preferred date and location. Choose from over 30 locations. Remember, we require all groups to track the trash they collect.  Data cards are provided. Please see application link below. Note: Beach Keepers groups must have at least 15 participants. Please keep in mind that ECOSLO is unable to accomodate requests for the entire month of September as we gear up for our annual Creeks to Coast Cleanup the third Saturday in September each year.
  • Request a speaker to share about local, state and international information regarding plastic pollution and ways we can make a difference to care for our precious planet.
  • Support the programs of ECOSLO by making a donation and/or becoming an event sponsor. Support from individuals and organizations is what makes our work possible year after year!
